As a glass company owner, I come across innovative products everyday. One product in particular has really caught my attention. It’s a revolutionary new glass coating called Shower Guard. They apply this coating while the glass is being made so the shower enclosure manufacturer, the installer or the end user don’t have to do anything. There is no after care required and it is virtually undamageable. Believe it or not, they even warranty it for ten years against anything staining the inside surface of the shower glass. Only the shower interior surface of the glass that will be exposed to the shower environment requires coating. After the glass is fabricated with all the required notches and holes and all of the edges have been finished, the glass with this coating is then tempered for safety, actually baking or imbedding this product into the finished glass piece. Minerals from hard water and soap scum cause spotting and scale buildup on untreated glass. Shower Guard’s permanent and temperable coating protects the glass against these forms of corrosion. Allowing for easier upkeep and lasting clarity. I would even go as far as recommending it for use in residential and commercial window applications of buildings where sprinkler spray may damage outer surfaces of glass by leaving calcium deposits from where the water hits.
Bathroom designs have evolved these days and most home owners are not satisfied anymore with the same old plain bathrooms of the past. I see a wide range of floor patterns and designs that allow home owners to be more creative with tile pattern designs and shower enclosure shapes. With this in mind, the last thing they want is some stained shower glass obscuring the view. Without this product on the glass it will begin to corrode from the first day in use. In the past, all that I had to offer to my customers were the after market products that you spray on after each shower. These sprays cause eye, skin and breathing irritations. Or types of products that had to be applied every two to three weeks. If anyone ran out, or forgot to reapply these products they had damage to glass surfaces until they got new supplies. These products were alright for awhile but damage still occurred after long periods of time or where water was exceptionally hard with minerals. Before the after market products were ever available, all I could recommend was car wax or baby oil applications that were a bit of a mess. Before Shower Guard came to market, there was a fairly decent product out that the shower enclosure manufacturer spray applied. This worked better than anything in its time but it required treatments every three to four weeks with their specific after care treatment spray. This was just as much trouble as the previous products. Even though it has a ten year warranty also, it does require the use of the aftercare spray or the warranty is voided. As I said, with shower guard, there is no aftercare required. Just put it in and watch it stay clear for years. I feel confident that with this product I can assure my customers that their investment is well spent and will be enjoyed for many years to come. |
