GHBA remains a leader in providing top-quality, industry-related continuing education for its members, resulting in its Education Department gaining national recognition at the International Builders Show.
Among its achievements, the association broadened its program by tripling the number of courses offered in 2004, from 34 to 110 in 2005. Special evening and Saturday classes were added and more than 1,600 attendees from eight states benefited.
GHBA assisted more than 30 area builders and remodelers in obtaining their CGB, GMB, CGR, and /or CAPS designations by the third quarter of 2005. The number of associate members working toward their CGA, MIRM, CMP, CSP, and MCSP increased significantly as well.
Additionally, the Education Department launched a job forum to connect individual GHBA members with new employment opportunities, as well as provide company members with a resource for finding qualified employees.
The Education Department also held a successful monthly Employment Law Roundtable discussion in 2005 and was instrumental in getting several
