The GHBA believes in recognizing its outstanding sales and marketing professionals. The Sales & Marketing Council (SMC) is committed to the education, motivation, and the growth of its membership. The council aims to aid members in increasing sales by helping them develop better sales and marketing staff. In an ever-changing housing market, it is imperative that sales and marketing professionals understand the latest trends through insights shared by industry leaders.
The SMC offers a blend of educational programs, certifications and social activities as a forum for housing professionals to meet, network, exchange ideas, and enhance their knowledge and professionalism. One of the GHBA’s most anticipated annual events is the July Bash hosted by the SMC at Minute Maid Park.
SMC recognizes excellence throughout the year. The Million Dollar Circle Awards are presented at an annual dinner recognizing outstanding new home sales achievements by salespeople, managers, and brokers. Monthly Sales Awards are given for top sales achievements. The Prism Awards are GHBA’s most honored and prestigious recognitions, given annually in recognition of superior contributions made in the marketing, merchandising, and sales of new homes. The SMC presented a record 75 PRISM awards in 2005. In order to simplify the registration process, the SMC completely revamped the PRISM Awards entry system moving it to a complete online process.
SMC also developed an aggressive recruiting and retention plan for membership that includes obtaining higher quality speakers with more relevant topics for quarterly dinner meetings and providing builders, developers, and sales managers with special incentives to encourage
attendance. |
